Welcome to Troop 500!

Troop 500 serves the city of Murrieta, CA, as well as the cities of Temecula, Wildomar, and surrounding communities. Our Troop is chartered by The Salvation Army and is a member of the California Inland Empire Council, Tahquitz district, of the Boy Scouts of America. Troop meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday nights (excluding the fourth Wednesday of each month, when we hold our Patrol leaders Council meeting).  Meetings are held at the Salvation Army hall, located at 40270 Los Alamos Rd. Murrieta, CA 92562.

Stars & Service Overnighter

Overnight in May to watch the stars and provide some service in one of our local national parks.  A chance to pick up some service hours, get some camping in and watch the stars.  We will meet Friday, May 18th at 4:30 pm at Salvation Army and will depart at 5:00 pm for Indian Flats.  We will be returning on Saturday May 19th at about 12:30 pm. 

Great 10 Mile Ride

Congrats to all the boys who completed the first 10 mile ride toward their Cycling merit badge.  Great job.  Next ride is tentatively planned for April.  Watch the web site for future ride details.

PLC Meetings Rescheduled *** UPDATED ***

In an effort to avoid scheduling conflicts with the main meeting hall, we are changing the dates of our PLC meetings from the first Wednesday, to the fourth Wednesday of each month.  This change is effective beginning with the May 25th meeting.  Be sure to check the "Upcoming Events" listing for specific date changes.

Our website will allow you to edit your personal address, phone and email info. However, we upload a new troop data file to the website, each week, that includes rank and merit Badge changes. This upload will overwrite any changes you may have entered. So please remember to email any changes to your personal info to webmaster@bsatroop500.com, or let us know at the next meeting.
